Skip Bin FAQ’s

1. How long can the Skip Bins hire be?

For a BDI skip bin the hire time is up to a 7 day hire period. Delivery can be anytime day 1 and pick up anytime from day 7. When you book we confirm with you your delivery and collection dates so you know when your waste will be offsite. Longer periods of bin hire are available but you must request at time of booking.

2. Do you provide waste removal services to residential and commercial clients?

Yes we do skip bin hire to all residential homes within our delivery area in Perth. This must be a location where drop off and collection is possible so please confirm this when booking.

3. Are there any items that cannot go in a rubbish skip?

At BDI Skip Bins we care for the environment and environmental protection and green wellbeing is an important issue for us. We will not supply skip hire for the waste removal of asbestos, car batteries, toxic dangerous goods, gas bottles, chemicals, liquids i.e. oils, paints, gas bottles and food waste, old tyres or Mattresses. If any of the above are found in the bin the contents will subject to BDI Skip Bins terms and conditions, please refer to (Item 12- Contaminated or Dangerous Waste).

4. How do I pay for the bin hire?

Payment is required upon delivery of the skip bin. Payment can be made over the phone with credit card (MasterCard or Visa) or you can request to pay by cash at time of booking, you must be present to sign for delivery and Tax Invoice issue.

5. Is there a height restriction when filling a bin?

A skip bin should be filled up until the nominated point for safe transportation, this means that the level of rubbish should be at the height of the skip itself. Western Australian regulations are in place to prevent unsafe transport of waste and other goods through Perth for other road user’s safety. Should you be in breach of these terms, over filled items will be removed from the skip bin and left on the users premises to ensure safe transportation of a legal limit to a waste site, this will occur at the users expense who may at the discretion of BDI incur additional fees. Please refer to BDI Terms and Conditions (Item 13 – Overloading)

6 Do I have to be home when you deliver my bin?

No, unless you have arranged to make payment by cash on arrival of the skip and as long as you have adequate signage and clearly direct us to where the bin has to be placed. We can provide the skip bin without supervision. We will do our best to place where requested by the hirer providing clear access is available, alternatively the skip will be placed at the delivery address at the nearest clear area to the roadside as per BDI Skip Bins Terms and Conditions, please refer to (Item 7 – Placement and Access)
